Cora Gold Secures $120M Stream Funding for Mali Project
Cora Gold Limited, a West African gold developer, has secured $120 million in stream funding for its Sanankoro Gold Project in Mali. The company reported a loss of $1.14 million for the six months ended June 30, 2026.
In April 2026, Cora signed a binding term sheet with Eagle Eye Asset Holdings for the gold stream, which will fund the project through to production. Under the agreement, Eagle Eye will purchase 30.44% of gold production at 20% of the prevailing spot gold price for the life of the mine.
The company completed a £15.7 million equity fundraise in March 2026, including a £13.7 million strategic investment by Eagle Eye, which became the largest shareholder with a 29.85% stake. Cash and cash equivalents stood at $14.6 million as of June 30, 2026.
Mali's Council of Ministers approved the renewal of the Sanankoro II exploration permit on August 21, 2026. Cora commenced Front-End Engineering Design work and launched a 12,000-meter drilling campaign at Sanankoro during the period.
