Greece-based steel pipe producer Corinth Pipeworks has secured a major contract to supply pipes for Mozambique's Rovuma LNG project. Under the deal, the company will manufacture around 120,000 metric tons of longitudinally submerged arc welded (LSAW) line pipes with diameters ranging from 20 inches to 24 inches.

The pipes will be designed to withstand demanding operating conditions associated with deepwater gas developments and will feature anti-corrosion coating and concrete weight coating. Production is expected to take place at Corinth Pipeworks' facilities in Thisvi, Greece.

The contract has a value of between $200 million and $250 million and further expands Corinth Pipeworks' presence in the global offshore pipeline market.
