Corn day memories flooded Doug Tenney's mind as he reflected on his teenage years spent helping his family harvest corn. This year, he noticed a few upgrades to their process, including a spinning brush powered by a cordless drill and a concave wooden corn stripper.

According to an article in the FarmDoc publication, Ukraine has around 59 million tons of grain storage capacity, which could be full by early November. This would leave an estimated storage deficit of 11 million tons by the end of autumn.

Ohio's weather took a drastic turn in early August with frequent thunderstorms bringing afternoon and evening rains. The rain helped finish the corn crop, leading to expectations for above-average yields.
