Corn Futures Close Thursday on a High Note Amid Mixed Export Sales

Corn futures closed Thursday on a high note after posting gains throughout the day. The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price rose by 1 1/2 cents to $4.09 3/4.

The USDA released export sales data, showing that 116,740 MT of corn for the 2025/26 marketing year were sold. This is a marketing year low and 31.5% below the same week last year. South Korea was the buyer of 86,100 MT, with an additional 84,300 MT going to Colombia.

The data also showed that sales for the 2026/27 marketing year totaled 1.027 MMT, which is on the higher side of the expected range but slightly below last week's high. Unknown destinations bought 490,400 MT, with Mexico and South Korea also purchasing significant amounts.
