Corn futures prices have seen an upward trend in recent sessions due to increased export demand and dry weather conditions impacting crop development.

According to Detik Finance, corn futures closed Thursday's session with positive gains, rising by 2 to 3 cents. The national average CmdtyView Cash Corn price also saw a 2-cent increase, reaching $4.34 1/2.

The upward movement in prices was driven by the release of export figures and updated weather projections. Export Sales data showed 332,679 MT of old crop corn business for the week ending July 16, surpassing the previous week's volume but falling short compared to the same period last year.

Taiwan emerged as a top buyer, securing 152,000 MT, while Mexico purchased 203,300 MT. New crop sales saw an increase, rising to 701,505 MT, with unspecified destinations accounting for the largest share at 168,000 MT.
