Corn Futures Rise as US Crop Nears Harvest Completion
Corn futures rose across the board on Monday, with September futures expiring at $5.12, up 1.75 cents.
The national average Cash Corn price was also higher, increasing by 3.25 cents to $4.87.
The weekly Crop Progress report showed that 86% of the US corn crop has been dented as of September 13, with 42% listed as mature and harvest at 8% complete.
Condition ratings improved slightly, increasing by 1 percentage point to 57%, while the Brugler500 index remained steady at 347.
