Corn Futures Soar to Highest Level Since July 2023
Corn futures on the Chicago Board of Trade have surged to their highest levels since July 2023, driven by rising demand and supply chain disruptions.
The December corn contract has climbed to $5.30 per bushel, marking a significant increase in prices for farmers and traders alike.
The gains are attributed to several factors, including lower-than-expected yield forecasts and ongoing Black Sea grain export disruptions.
Additionally, the US Department of Agriculture reported that weekly crop condition ratings have fallen, adding further upward pressure on corn prices.
