Costco Motor Oil Prices Spark Outrage Among Shoppers
A TikTok creator named @theclawboss recorded himself in Costco's motor oil aisle on a Sunday and was shocked to see that the shelves were still packed with Kirkland Signature motor oil, despite its steep price of nearly $60.
@theclawboss used to swear by Costco's oil and remembers buying it for about $30. He showed old receipts to prove his claim and accused Costco of raising prices by $20 overnight, which he considered gouging.
He then compared the prices of Kirkland motor oil with those of Quaker State on Amazon, finding that the latter was roughly the same price but offered twice as much oil.
@theclawboss announced that he would no longer renew his Costco membership when it expires and accused the retailer of being 'grimy' over the price increase.
