Costco Raises Motor Oil Price Amid Soaring Crude Costs

Costco has raised the price of its Kirkland Signature full-synthetic motor oil to $58 per two-pack, up from approximately $30 last year. The wholesale club is also limiting purchases to two boxes per week.

The move comes as oil prices continue to climb due to ongoing tension in the Middle East. Brent crude has risen above $109 per barrel after a Saudi oil pipeline was attacked and an Iranian war disrupted oil supplies.

Other motor oil retailers may follow suit, with Walmart, Amazon, and AutoZone yet to respond to requests for comment on their pricing strategies.
