Cotton Futures Market Sees Volatility Amidst Global Price Shifts

The cotton futures market saw some volatility this week, with the most active Dec'26 contract fluctuating above and below $0.83 per pound before settling at $0.8271 on Friday.

Chinese cotton prices were mixed to higher across the week, while the A-Index of world cotton prices was relatively flat.

In other agricultural futures, CBOT corn showed a stair-step increase before sliding lower, while CBOT soybeans traded sideways and KC wheat futures declined for most of the week.

WTI oil futures followed a V-shaped pattern, reversing from a downtrend to an uptrend, while the U.S. dollar index continued its steady climb throughout the week.
