CPER Copper Fund Sees $19.7M Gain, Offset by Unrealized Loss

The United States Commodity Index Funds Trust reported significant trading gains and losses for its copper fund in August 2026. The United States Copper Index Fund (CPER) posted a net income of $15,808,665 and an ending net asset value of $750,295,665. The copper fund's net asset value per share was $40.02, based on 18,750,000 shares.

The trust also reported that futures trading produced a realized gain for the United States Copper Index Fund (CPER) of $19,651,159 in August, but this was offset by an unrealized loss of $4,734,352 on commodity futures. In contrast, the United States Commodity Index Fund (USCI) reported a net income of $19,118,205 and ending net asset value of $393,754,849.

During August, 650,000 shares were added to CPER's copper fund, while 600,000 shares were withdrawn. The additions had a reported value of $26,109,423, and the withdrawals had a reported value of $23,740,085.
