Crude Oil Futures in India Rise Amid Global Gains

Crude oil futures in India rose by Rs 78 to Rs 8,903 per barrel on Thursday amid positive global trends. The rise in futures prices was attributed to increased bets by participants.

The Multi Commodity Exchange saw crude oil futures for September delivery increase by Rs 78, or 0.88%, to Rs 8,903 per barrel in a business turnover of 6,196 lots.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) and Brent crude also witnessed gains with WTI trading at USD 92.70 per barrel, up 0.59%, and Brent crude at USD 103.81 per barrel, marginally higher by 0.71% in New York.
