$Crude Oil Futures Reactions as Iran's Araghchi Rules Out Direct US Talks
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has made clear that there are no direct talks between Iran and the US. Instead, negotiations occur through intermediaries. This statement comes from Reuters, citing Mehr news agency.
Araghchi emphasized that as long as the US continues to violate the terms of their interim agreement, there will be no formal negotiations. He highlighted this point in a recent statement.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also mentioned discussions with Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz. He noted that these talks are nearing completion and will lead to new shipping routes through the waterway.
Araghchi emphasized, however, that establishing new routes does not mean the Strait is being reopened for international use. The statement serves as a reminder of ongoing tensions between Iran and other nations in the region.
