Markets in India began trading higher on Wednesday due to declining crude oil prices.

The fall in oil prices is a positive catalyst for domestic markets, according to Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money. Brent crude has dropped by over 6% in the past two sessions and is now trading at $86.22 per barrel.

Foreign fund inflows also contributed to the positive trend in Indian equities. Among the Sensex firms, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Eternal, Bajaj Finserv, and Asian Paints were major winners.
