Crude Oil Prices Surge on Global Trends

Crude oil futures rose by Rs 69 to Rs 8,132 per barrel on MCX due to positive global trends. The Brent and WTI crude also increased in value.

The Multi Commodity Exchange saw a business turnover of 8,535 lots for the August delivery of crude oil futures. Analysts stated that the rise in bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was trading at USD 84.14 per barrel, up 0.48 percent. Brent crude was also up 0.31 percent at USD 91.16 per barrel in New York.
