Crude Oil Volatility Sends Gas Prices Soaring in Queen Creek
Gas prices in Queen Creek have seen another increase this week due to continued volatility in the crude oil market.
According to AAA Arizona, prices at the pump jumped 8 cents this week and are now sitting at $4.69 a gallon.
This is an increase of $1.17 per gallon compared to the same time last year.
The national average is also inching closer to this year's record high of $4.56, set on May 21.
David Caltabiano, AAA Mountain West Group spokesperson, stated that 'crude oil remains high, averaging $100 per barrel amid continued volatility in the Strait of Hormuz.'
