CWRC Names New President Amid Leadership Transition
The Canadian Wheat Research Coalition (CWRC) has appointed Blair Goldade as its new president. Goldade is currently the executive director of Sask Wheat, which is taking on hosting responsibilities for the organization. The CWRC's leadership transition comes after a three-year stint led by the Manitoba Crop Alliance.
Goldade expressed pride in the CWRC's achievements since its formation in 2017, citing its support for wheat research and development initiatives as key to Western Canadian agriculture's success.
The coalition's new board of directors also includes three farmer representatives: Cameron Reich from Sask Wheat, Jeffrey Stobbe-Wiebe from Manitoba Crop Alliance, and Devin Hartzler from Alberta Grains. CWRC Chair Jocelyn Velestuk welcomed the incoming directors, highlighting their fresh perspectives.
