Czech Gas Association Launches Campaign to Promote Natural Gas Use

The Czech Gas Association is launching a long-term campaign to highlight the benefits of natural gas. The goal is to encourage households to switch from solid-fuel boilers and raise awareness about the advantages of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in passenger transport.

Natural gas is considered a modern, high-quality, and environmentally friendly fuel for heating. According to the Ministry of the Environment's National Emissions Reduction Programme, nearly 90 percent of total emissions of carcinogenic benzo(a)pyrene and almost 40 percent of total emissions of PM10 particulate matter come from local household heating.

The Czech Gas Association plans to launch its campaign in September, with a focus on promoting the benefits of natural gas in both heating and transport. The association's chairman, Jan Valenta, emphasized that driving on CNG can cost half as much, making it a significant saving for every family budget.
