Dana Gas and Crescent Petroleum Start Gas Supplies to Iraqi Ministry of Electricity
Dana Gas and Crescent Petroleum have started supplying natural gas to Iraq's Ministry of Electricity from the Khor Mor field in the Kurdistan Region. This milestone reflects a key step in the companies' strategy to expand gas sales following the completion of the KM250 expansion, which was commissioned in October 2025.
The expansion has raised production capacity from Khor Mor by 50% to 750 MMscf/d, enabling the partners to open new markets and deliver much-needed gas by pipeline. The companies will supply 100 MMscf/d of gas for an initial term of one year to help improve power generation and services in Iraq.
Majid Jafar, CEO of Crescent Petroleum and Managing Director of the Board of Dana Gas, said: 'This first delivery of gas to Iraq's Ministry of Electricity is an important milestone for the companies in their development of the gas sector in the Kurdistan Region.'
