Dana Gas Cuts Gas Supplies to Kurdistan Region, Electricity Production Plummets
The Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) electricity ministry announced that Dana Gas has reduced its gas supplies to power stations in the region, leading to a decrease of 1,000 megawatts in electricity production.
Dana Gas operates the Khor Mor field, which is the largest supplier of electricity in the Kurdistan Region with natural gas reserves of around 1.8 trillion cubic feet.
The ministry stated that it and the Ministry of Natural Resources are in contact with Dana Gas to resolve the issue and restore normal gas supply and electricity production.
