The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has increased its gantry price for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, from N1,265 to N1,350 per litre. This change took effect on September 12, 2026.

This is the fourth increase in just over three weeks, with prices rising by N185 per litre since August 21. The latest adjustment represents a N85 per litre increase, further putting pressure on downstream operators and potentially affecting pump prices across the country.

The refinery's growing market influence is underscored by its large-scale refining capacity and reduced dependence on imported refined products. Its pricing decisions are closely watched by marketers, industry operators, and consumers as global oil market uncertainties persist.
