Davidson County Paves Way for Massive LNG Facility Rezoning Request
A crucial step forward has been taken for a massive energy project in Davidson County. The county's Board of Commissioners set a review date for October 20th with the Planning Board, which will examine a rezoning request to facilitate a liquefied natural gas storage facility and related infrastructure along the Yadkin River.
The proposed project, backed by Duke Energy-Piedmont Natural Gas, would occupy over 1,600 acres. A public hearing is scheduled for November 9th, where the commissioners will ultimately decide on the rezoning request.
