Decade Resources Ltd., an explorer focused on British Columbia's copper-gold properties, reported significant results from its first deep drill hole at the Bonaparte project. The company intersected porphyry-style copper mineralization in the final portion of a 621.6-meter hole, marking the initial test of a buried porphyry model at the Discovery zone.

The Bonaparte project is located near established porphyry copper deposits such as Highland Valley and New Afton. The intersection included chalcopyrite, occasional molybdenite, and classic porphyry alteration zones at depth. Visual results support a British Columbia Geological Survey interpretation that gold-bearing veins may represent the upper level of a buried porphyry system.

Copper demand is expected to rise sharply through 2040 as AI data centers, defense systems, power grids, and clean-energy infrastructure increase metal needs. Assays from the first hole, plus more than 750 soil samples and 30 rock samples, remain pending and represent the next clear catalysts for investors.
