The price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Delhi has increased by ₹3.89 per kg to ₹86.98 per kg, a rise from the previous rate of ₹83.09 per kg.

This increase comes on the back of a surge in international liquefied natural gas (LNG) prices due to disruptions caused by the West Asia crisis, according to Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL).

Despite this sharp rise in global LNG prices, IGL claims that Delhi's CNG consumers are being insulated from its impact, with prices increasing by only 7.8% between late February and August 27.

This assertion is based on the fact that while international gas benchmarks such as Europe's TTF gas benchmark rose around 105%, Asia's JKM LNG benchmark increased around 113% during the same period.
