Delhi CNG Prices Hike by ₹3.89 Per Kg Amid Global LNG Price Surge

Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has raised the price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Delhi by ₹3.89 per kg.

The new rates will be effective from 6:00 am on Saturday, August 29.

CNG in Delhi will now cost ₹86.98 per kg, up from ₹83.09 per kg.

According to IGL, the price hike is due to escalating international LNG prices, which have nearly doubled since July 2026, following a West Asia crisis affecting LNG cargo movements through the Strait of Hormuz.
