Delhi University Taps IGL for Piped Gas Connections Across Campus
Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Delhi University to provide domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections to 756 staff quarters across the university campus. The agreement was signed by Dr. Vikas Gupta, Registrar, University of Delhi.
This partnership marks a significant step in expanding clean and continuous natural gas supply to residential communities within one of India's leading educational institutions. With this initiative, residents will receive uninterrupted piped natural gas supply, reducing their dependence on LPG cylinders.
IGL described the collaboration as part of its broader effort to take natural gas infrastructure deeper into homes, institutions, and communities across its authorised geographical areas. The project aims to strengthen PNG infrastructure within Delhi and improve convenience for university employees and their families.
