Denver Botanic Gardens Hosts Pumpkin Festival at Chatfield Farms
Denver Botanic Gardens’ annual Pumpkin Festival is set to return to Chatfield Farms for a weekend of family-friendly fall fun from Oct. 9-11. The event features a 10-acre pumpkin patch, wagon rides, carnival games, and a Colorado-themed corn maze celebrating the state’s 150 years. Courtney Meihls, communications manager for Denver Botanic Gardens, describes the festival as a cherished tradition welcoming the fall season.
The festival offers a variety of activities, including vendors, crafts, live music, food and beverage, bingo, an antique tractor exhibit, wagon rides, photo booths, magic shows, and bounce houses. Tickets grant access to the corn maze and children’s maze, with pumpkin prices ranging from $2, $15 depending on size and variety. Free pumpkin daycare is available, though attendees are encouraged to bring wagons for transporting their pumpkins.
Meihls emphasizes the festival’s goal of reconnecting families with the origins of their food. “I want them to walk away feeling delighted, and a little bit surprised,” she says, highlighting the farm’s engaging atmosphere. Chatfield Farms is located at 8500 W. Deer Creek Canyon Rd. in Littleton. For more details, visit botanicgardens.org.
