Diesel and Furnace Oil Prices Rise in P.E.I.
The prices of diesel and furnace oil in Prince Edward Island (P.E.I.) increased in an unscheduled adjustment on September 12, 2026. The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (IRAC) made this change without prior notice.
Diesel prices went up by 15.5 cents per litre, while the price of furnace oil increased by 16 cents per litre. After the adjustments, diesel ranges from 273.0 to 274.2 cents per litre, and the maximum price of furnace oil is 205.6 cents per litre.
The prices of regular self-serve gas range from 204.6 to 205.7 cents per litre, while premium ranges from 217.2 to 218.4 cents per litre. The announcement by IRAC also included petroleum pricing information from the same period last year for comparison.
