Dollar Weakness Boosts Gold Prices Amid Global Market Tensions
Singapore saw gold prices rise on Friday as traders reacted to falling oil prices and a weakening US dollar. The market was also monitoring developments in the Middle East and global monetary policy outlooks.
Spot gold had climbed 0.3% to $4,352.60 per ounce by 00:50 GMT, while US gold futures for December delivery slipped 0.2% to $4,391.60 per ounce, according to Reuters.
Oth precious metals were also on the rise, with spot silver up 0.7% to $65.64 per ounce and platinum climbing 0.9% to $1,785.55 per ounce. Palladium gained a modest 0.1% to reach $1,292.47 per ounce.
