Dutch Manufacturing Output Prices Surge on Oil Price Rise
The Dutch manufacturing industry saw output prices rise to 5.2 percent higher in July compared to the same period last year, according to data released by Statistics Netherlands (CBS). This marks a significant increase from June's 4.3 percent year-on-year growth.
The surge is largely attributed to the sharp rise in oil prices, which have increased by almost 24 percent year on year. The average price of a barrel of North Sea Brent crude stood at over 73 euros in July, contributing to the higher output prices.
Petroleum derivatives saw a particularly significant increase, with prices up by 42.7 percent compared to last year. Chemical products also experienced a notable rise, with output prices 12.3 percent higher than in June 2025.
