East Baghdad Oilfield Boosts Iraq's Electrical Grid with New Gas Processing Unit
The East Baghdad oilfield has marked an important milestone in Iraq's efforts to boost its electrical grid by inaugurating a new gas processing unit.
The unit, which has a capacity of 25 million standard cubic feet per day, is part of the Iraqi Ministry of Oil's strategy to enhance gas recovery and connect production to the national gas network and power plants.
The East Baghdad oilfield is one of Iraq's most significant oil resources, with reserves now standing at 15 billion barrels following a recent discovery.
