East Coast Natural Gas Prices Plummet Amid Pipeline Outage and Nor'easter
Natural gas prices in the US have taken a hit this week due to declining demand and supply issues. According to Natural Gas Intelligence, spot natural gas prices have fallen across much of the East Coast as a result of a pipeline outage that left supplies stranded. The national average price has also been pulled lower.
The decline is attributed in part to fading heat, which drew down demand for natural gas. Additionally, a nor'easter impacted the East Coast, further contributing to the decrease in prices. The TCO (Texas Central Pipeline) outage also played a role, wrapping up over the weekend and affecting supplies.
