East-West Pipeline Restarts After Saudi Drone Strikes
Saudi Aramco has successfully restarted its 750-mile East-West pipeline after repairs from drone strikes that took it out of action earlier this month.
The pipeline, which was damaged in the September 10 drone strikes launched from Iraq, is now flowing at about 3.5 million barrels per day to the Red Sea port of Yanbu, roughly half its capacity.
The damage had been a major concern for oil markets, with the pipeline becoming a critical workaround to the Strait of Hormuz amid the Iran war and attacks on regional shipping lanes.
