Eemshaven LNG Terminal Delivers Record-Breaking Gas Supplies to Czechia
The Eemshaven LNG terminal in the Netherlands has handled a total of 92 ships carrying liquefied natural gas (LNG) for Czechia since its operation began in September 2022. These shipments delivered 8.2 billion cubic meters of gas, equivalent to around 14 months of consumption in Czechia and more than four years of consumption by all Czech households.
The terminal has been operating at a pace similar to last year, despite the crisis in the Middle East affecting global gas trade. The shipments came from various sources, but most were from the United States.
According to ČEZ CEO Daniel Beneš, the LNG deliveries through the Eemshaven facility helped ensure sufficient gas supplies for Czech households and industry even during the energy crisis.
