Egypt's Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi has reaffirmed the government's commitment to securing the country's natural gas market needs. As part of this effort, he reviewed the operational status of the national natural gas grid from the Egyptian Natural Gas Company (GASCO) control center.

The minister emphasized the importance of managing shifts in consumption with high efficiency and flexibility, as well as maintaining maximum readiness to handle any emergencies or developments. He inspected the steady flow of gas to various domestic sectors, including power generation plants, industrial facilities, and residential areas.

Badawi noted that decisive state measures have successfully met local demand throughout the first half of the summer, thanks to procuring regasification vessels and natural gas shipments, boosting domestic production, and implementing forward-looking supply strategies.
