Egypt's Damietta LNG Terminal Hit by Fire After Suspected Drone Strike

A fire broke out on two vessels at Egypt's Damietta LNG terminal on Wednesday, disrupting operations. The incident occurred during cargo operations, and emergency services were able to contain the blaze.

No casualties or fatalities have been reported. The Ministry of Petroleum stated that they are taking necessary measures to assess the situation.

The affected vessels, a regasification vessel and a storage vessel, belonged to the United States and were sailing under the flag of the Marshall Islands. A preliminary assessment by Ambrey indicated a suspected drone strike caused the fire.
