Egypt's Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi has prioritized upgrading the country's refineries, particularly Nasr Petroleum Company and Suez Petroleum Manufacturing Company in Suez governorate. This effort aims to boost production and efficiency by maximizing the value obtained from every barrel of crude oil.

During a video conference meeting with senior officials from his ministry and other organizations, Badawi emphasized the importance of increasing crude oil supplies to support operating and production rates at these refineries.

The minister also directed the companies to adhere to high safety standards, strengthen emergency preparedness, and share expertise in this field. He noted that the quantities of crude oil supplied to the two companies would be increased in the coming period to ensure optimal use of available capacities.
