EIA Storage Print Falls Short of Expectations Amid Rising Futures

The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported on Thursday that natural gas storage saw an injection of 15 Bcf for the week ended Aug. 21.

This result fell short of expectations, and yet it still supported a rally in NYMEX natural gas futures ahead of the print.

However, as traders took profits, prices eased somewhat, slowing momentum in the market.
