Eldorado Gold's Growth Projects Drive Transformation Amid Near-Term Pressures

Eldorado Gold's second-quarter results highlighted both near-term financial pressures and longer-term growth potential, as the mid-tier gold producer transitions from a pure gold producer to a diversified metals company.

The company reported revenue of $487.5 million for Q2 2026, up 7.7% year-over-year, driven by sharply higher gold prices. However, production declined 21.8% to 104,616 ounces, and costs increased across most operations.

Eldorado's growth projects, including the Skouries copper-gold project in Greece and the McIlvenna Bay polymetallic operation in Saskatchewan, are key drivers of the company's transformation strategy.

The Skouries project is nearing production, with a process plant substantially complete and wet commissioning underway. The company expects first copper-gold concentrate production in Q3 2026 and commercial production in Q4 2026.
