Eldorado Gold's Skouries Mine Reaches Key Milestone Amid Share Price Rally
Eldorado Gold's Skouries mine in northern Greece has achieved a major milestone with its permanent connection to the national grid, following final approval from the Greek transmission authority.
This power link will provide a long-term electricity source for processing and mining activities, supporting the project's move towards commercial production in Q4 2026. The Skouries mine is expected to produce an average of 140,000 ounces of gold and 67 million pounds of copper over its lifespan.
Eldorado Gold's share price has risen by 11.2% over the past three months and 11.7% year-to-date, despite a recent pullback of around 8.9%. The company's 1-year total shareholder return stands at 34.3%, while its 5-year total shareholder return is significant.
Analysts believe Eldorado Gold may be undervalued, with a fair value estimate of CA$71.91 per share compared to the current price of CA$54.33. The company's upcoming commissioning of the Skouries copper-gold project in Q1 2026 is expected to be transformative, increasing production volumes and diversifying revenue.
