Enbridge has signed an exclusive option to acquire the TTC Connector pipeline, a 25-mile project that will link its Tres Palacios gas storage facility to the Freeport LNG export terminal in Texas.

The TTC Connector is expected to enter service by the end of 2026 and has a capacity of 300 million cubic feet per day. It's considered a 'last-mile' LNG supply project, connecting major Gulf Coast storage assets to an LNG export terminal.

According to Elizabeth Perez, Director of Intrastate Business Development with Enbridge's Gas Transmission business, 'It's a prime example of the growing integration between storage, transmission and LNG export facilities as the world's demand for American LNG exports continues to grow.'

This acquisition is part of Enbridge's larger strategy to expand its Gulf Coast natural gas footprint. Since last year, the company has announced expansions to three of its USGC gas storage facilities, which will bring capacity up to about 150 Bcf by 2033.
