Enbridge Seeks Shippers for West Texas Express Pipeline
Canadian midstream company Enbridge has launched a non-binding open season for its proposed West Texas Express system, seeking shippers for the pipeline that will transport 2 Bcf/d of Permian natural gas to El Paso.
The pipeline aims to start up by late 2029. The open season will close on September 25, giving potential customers an opportunity to secure capacity on the new line.
The West Texas Express system is part of a growing list of Permian takeaway projects, which are crucial for alleviating transportation constraints and connecting production hubs with markets in the US and Mexico.
