Energocom Seeks Second Gas Price Hike in a Month for Moldova Consumers
Energocom, Moldova's state-owned energy company, is requesting the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) to adjust regulated natural gas supply prices less than a month after a 40% hike.
The company cites significant increases in TTF benchmark quotes exceeding €75/MWh, which is higher than the average purchase price of approximately €56.25/MWh used to calculate current tariffs from August to December.
Energocom proposes new regulated prices for household consumers, which would increase gas tariff from 18.79 lei to 24.31 lei per cubic meter excluding VAT (and from 20.30 to 26.25 lei including the 8% VAT).
