Energy Stocks Soar on Middle East Tensions and US Crude Stockpile Drop
A surge in oil prices has sent several energy stocks soaring after renewed fighting between Iran and the US, as well as a larger-than-expected drop in US crude stockpiles.
The price of Brent crude futures rose above $90 a barrel and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) climbed past $84 a barrel, amid fears of a wider regional conflict disrupting oil supplies.
Crescent Energy's shares jumped 29.6% since the beginning of the year, but are still trading 20.8% below their 52-week high of $13.92 from May 2026.
