EOG Resources Announces Retirement of CFO Ann D. Janssen
EOG Resources, Inc., one of the largest crude oil and natural gas exploration and production companies in the United States, has announced that Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Ann D. Janssen will retire from her position at the end of January 2027.
Janssen, who joined EOG over 30 years ago after working for a predecessor company since 1995, will continue to serve as an advisor to allow for a smooth transition of her responsibilities before her official retirement. She has been CFO since January 2024 and previously served in various roles leading the accounting, financial reporting, and planning functions.
The Board of Directors has appointed Jeffrey W. ‘Jeff’ Hibbard to succeed Janssen as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective January 1, 2027. Hibbard has been an invaluable addition to EOG’s finance organization since joining the company in August 2025, bringing over two decades of experience serving the oil and gas industry.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ezra Y. Yacob praised Janssen for her dedication to capital discipline, financial integrity, and a rigorous approach to accounting and financial reporting. He also expressed enthusiasm about Hibbard’s leadership, citing his deep understanding of the business and commitment to capital discipline, which he believes will guide EOG’s financial strategy forward.
