EQT Corp Lands Long-Term LNG Supply Partner in Ignitis Deal
EQT Corp, an integrated natural gas company focused on the Appalachian Basin, has secured a long-term LNG supply partner in Lithuania's energy group Ignitis. The two companies have confirmed plans for a multi-year agreement that will add visibility to EQT's export volumes starting from September 21, 2026.
Under the proposed deal, Ignitis will purchase 10 LNG cargoes between 2027 and 2036, with roughly one cargo per year of about 1 terawatt-hour (TWh) of gas-equivalent energy. This long-term supply agreement is intended to diversify Lithuania's gas sources, stabilize prices, and strengthen energy security.
EQT controls more than 28.0 trillion cubic feet-equivalent (Tcfe) of proved reserves of natural gas, natural gas liquids, and oil spread across about 2.3 million gross acres and operates roughly 2,945 miles of pipeline infrastructure. This reserve base matters for investors as it provides a tangible outlet for EQT's large-scale resource base relative to its 28.0 Tcfe of proved reserves.
