EQT Stock Slides 10% Amid Gas Price Drop

Instruments
Natural Gas
Share

EQT stock has declined by 10% in six months due to a drop in natural gas prices and a broader energy sell-off.

The company's realized gas price fell to $2.65 per thousand cubic feet equivalent in the second quarter, down from $2.81 a year earlier.

EQT Corporation is close to its long-term net debt target of $5 billion, which could lead to more aggressive share repurchases.

The company has signed several new contracts, including a 10-year gas supply deal with Competitive Power Ventures and a five-year LNG offtake deal for Gulf Coast cargoes starting in 2028.

TIKR's mid-case model values EQT stock at $107 by December 2030, a 94% total return from the current $55 price.
