Equinor Eyes 27% International Production Growth by 2030
Equinor, a Norwegian energy company, is targeting a 27% increase in its international oil and gas production by 2030. The company aims to achieve this growth by focusing on fewer but more lucrative regions such as the US, Brazil, and Angola.
In recent years, Equinor has streamlined its portfolio outside Norway by selling assets and positions in countries like Azerbaijan and Nigeria. However, it has retained and grown its businesses in the US, Brazil, and Angola.
Equinor's international production averaged 750,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) in the second quarter of 2026. The company expects to raise this to 950,000 boepd by 2030 by boosting output in these regions.
