Ero Copper Corp (TSX: ERO; NYSE: ERO) saw its shares climb 4.55% on August 25, putting it back near the top of its 52-week range.

The Vancouver-based copper and gold producer has seen significant gains in recent months, with a rise of over a third in the past month and more than double over the past year, boosting its market capitalization to around US$4 billion.

The increase comes after Ero reported stronger-than-expected second-quarter results on August 5, which showed revenue growth of about 8% versus the first quarter and an approximately 50% sequential increase in operating cash flow.

While copper prices have been setting fresh records through August due to speculation around potential U.S. import tariffs rather than a confirmed physical shortage, Ero's second-quarter results demonstrate its own operating momentum at its Caraíba and Tucumã mines.
