Escambia County Gas Prices Top $4 as Crude Oil Costs Surge

Escambia County gas prices have surpassed $4 per gallon, according to recent data. The average price in Escambia County is currently at $4.05, while the state of Florida's average has reached a high of $4.33 per gallon on Friday, its highest mark since May 2026.

The surge in gas prices can be attributed to rising crude oil costs nationwide. In fact, Florida's gas prices increased by 21 cents per gallon last week alone, pushing the state average higher than ever before.

While some stations in Escambia County were still offering prices below $4, including a low of $3.79 per gallon at warehouse clubs and $3.99 at Highway 29 locations in Cantonment, others have seen significant price hikes compared to last year.
